I will take a picture with my Grand Marquis in the shot of all 50 state signs. I don't know how I will get it to Hawaii, or if there is even a sign like this on one of the islands, but dammit I will complete this collection somehow.
So far I've got two.

You'll like the colorado one. It says its colorful but the sign is pretty bland

The Florida sign should be more honest: "Where the Elderly Come to Die, and People With No Imagination Vacation!"

When you get 'round to NC, give me a call, hear?

Been to Hawaii a few times but did not see any signs like this. 49 may have to do.
I always laugh at the Colorado one. Welcome to Colorful Colorado, except we didn;t use any of those colors for the sign.

Sometimes it's dangerous though.

Or "If the news headline sounds ridiculous, it happened here!"

Maybe you can borrow my dad's Grand Marquis (same color) when you get here (Hawaii) but the closest thing to a state sign is at Honolulu International Airport at the mainland terminal. Once you get out on to our "Interstate Freeway H-2," the most well-known is likely "Welcome to Haleiwa" on the North Shore which is a de rigueur tourist destination (and which is a nice place anyway).
Most of the Neighbor Islands (anything but Oahu), will have them outside somewhere though. Fun!

I've been doing it for a while now: https://www.flickr.com/photos/tonyjca…
About half done (26 of the lower 48) with just the northeast coast and directly north of Texas left to do.

Missouri one is pretty neat, North Dakota needs to get it together.

Um, if it's the long term we're talking about, you can crash at my dorm at NCSU in about a year. Short-term, maybe.

I was mostly kidding, it would just be for a night or two at the most as I traveled through the state. A lot of restops have 'no overnight parking' signs.

Eh, Nor' Carolina takes only about 4 hours to get across if you're going north-to-south, and SC about 3 hours. I think.

Well, what I'd be doing is setting off from my home in Pensacola and visiting many states at once. Having a driveway to park on and sleep would be a huge bonus because I could plan my trip around wherever you are in North Carolina to get the most bang for my buck time-wise. Otherwise I could be searching for hours to find a safe and legal place to snooze.

I'll work on it. Since I'm still living with my parents, letting a random stranger sleep in the driveway isn't really normal, but I can probably do the "hours of searching' for ya.

Haha, I appreciate it.
